SIMPPAR 2023

It was a real pleasure to exhibit at SIMPPAR, the premier exhibition for fragrance raw materials, and to encounter so many colleagues, clients and new faces too. SIMPPAR is a highlight on the calendar that we look forward to and the general consensus was that this year’s edition was busier than ever. Attendees have a real passion for raw materials, so there is always an uplifting atmosphere and energy at the show.

Each year PCW highlights new natural materials in the portfolio. Turmeric root, tumeric leaf and cardamom SCFE (super critical fluid extraction) proved popular amongst our selection due to scent profile and extraction method. In addition we introduced a selection of new natural molecules / isolates that piqued the interest of attendees. The first drop of natural molecules can now be purchased on our directpcw.com website and expect further additions soon. 

The increasing demand for natural ingredients and the growing fascination with new methods of extraction and distillation, proves that materials must increasingly meet these needs. New techniques mean that previously inaccessible natural materials can now be revisited and harnessed for use in perfumery. Considering the advancements in extraction techniques, the focus on upcycling, and the allure of natural isolates, it becomes evident that a fresh concept of naturality is taking shape, perfectly aligned with the values and direction that PCW is pursuing.

Exciting news also emerged during the event that we eagerly anticipate. It was announced that SIMPPAR 2024 will be held in Grasse. This exceptional decision not only highlights the importance of Grasse to perfumery but will also enable local companies to showcase their diversity in activity. This announcement adds an extra layer of excitement for PCW as it is our home base, setting the stage for an even more remarkable event next year. We hope to meet many more of you in Grasse, 2024.
