PCW Conference At Luxe Pack 2024

Each October we attend the Luxe Pack exhibition in Monaco as it is a great oppportunity to meet with our clients and potential customers. The event is scheduled at the same time as the TFWA in Cannes so there are always new visitors to the show and our stand.
This year our CEO, Xavier Blaizot and Creative Director, Maud Chabanis presented a conference on Virgin Non Alcoholic Perfumes (our terminology for alcohol free fragrances).
A synopsis : For decades, the perfume industry has been monitored by regulatory bodies such as IFRA and cosmetics regulations. These organisations regulate the raw materials used in fragrance and cosmetics.
For several years now, a global industry review has been pointing the finger at the use of ethyl alcohol in perfume, and rightly so, since it can cause skin dryness and increased sensitivity to UV rays. California regulations warned in 2020 that the use of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) would be reduced by 2030.
Numerous innovations are appearing, and today there are more and more new solutions for formulating alcohol-free fragrances. This is a trend that we are seeing at PCW and we are working on finding new solutions to formulate alcohol-free fragrances. The conference was informative and participative, with the audience smelling various creations from our perfumers.
